Decision Lab / fictional example
Maintenance Economics
Explore expected event losses and an assumed reduction, then check recurring costs and a simple payback.

Model boundary
An expected-value teaching model, not a failure prediction. Reduction is a user assumption and does not come from an AI model. Assets share the stated event rate and average loss. Simple payback excludes discounting, taxes, residual value and changes over time. The loss input must not double-count costs. A short pilot may not establish a reliable event-rate estimate.
